Amay A. Inamdar and Nick A. Inamdar are the co-founders and principals of Magellan Housing. They are well respected and trusted industry leaders in the acquisition, development, marketing, and management of affordable housing communities. Their combined decades of development experience and commitment to affordable, well built, beautiful rental housing sets them apart in the industry. Their attention to detail and understanding how to combine public and private financing opportunities sets them apart.

The combination of the knowledge and experience each principal brings to Magellan is key to its rapid success. Amay A. Inamdar


Amay’s experience includes leading the southwest development office of The Michaels Organization where he grew the organization’s portfolio in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Arkansas. Prior to Michaels, Amay managed and led numerous organizations involved in the development of market and affordable housing. He has extensive experience in a varied mix of housing developments from $2 million townhouse developments to $100 million single family home developments. He developed his strong financial background from years working in the corporate and commercial banking industry for companies such as Washington Mutual, FleetBoston Financial Corp, and Bank of America.

 

Nick A. Inamdar


Nick’s background is deeply rooted in Florida real estate development. Prior to founding Magellan Housing, Nick led the South Florida development office of The Gatehouse Group where he assisted in the development of over 1,100 restricted multi-family apartments in South Florida with a cost basis in excess of $260,000,000.

He recently served as Chair for the Florida statewide industry organization, the Coalition of Affordable Housing Providers (CAHP). He also serves as a board member for the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) and has previously served as a Gubernatorial appointed board member to the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX). Nick is a member of Leadership Florida Class 30 and was honored as a finalist by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce in their 2012 R.E.A.L (Real Estate Achievers and Leaders).
